Framed crayon letter

The school year is ending and I’m always looking for a way to say thank you, to the wonderful teachers I have the pleasure of working with each year. This idea came from Chic & Cheap Nursery. This adorable framed letter made entirely of crayons is a cute and unique gift that any teacher would be proud to display. I must admit I had some trouble with the execution. I don’t know how to cut crayons (apparently) and it took several tries to get clean cuts and when I did they were not even. Never the less here is our (I made my son help) labor of love.

I chose to add a single coat of decoupage to the crayons after the project was finished. My son’s teacher loved it and it is something I would do again. I used about 32 crayons including the ones that I completely  ruined. Total cost for the project about $7. I already had the paper for the backing and decoupage.
